COLOURED BALLS "First Supper Last or Scenes We Didn't Get To See" LP
Their first recordings! Before "Ball Power" (1973). Before "Heavy Metal Kid" (1974).
Proto Punk/Boogie/Blues/Progressive/Psych/50s Rock 'n Roll/Pop that still cannot be pigeonholed. Back in print for the first time in over 40 years. After LOBBY LOYDE had blazed a trail in THE PURPLE HEARTS, WILD CHERRIES, and THE AZTECS, he formed COLOURED BALLS and Australian rock 'n roll has never been the same. Recorded in late October/early November ‘72, but not issued until May ‘76. First album to be recorded and the last to be released, hence the title. Shortly after it was recorded, their manager left their label, Havoc Records, and took COLOURED BALLS with him. He then secured them a deal with EMI Records who were offered the chance to release what became “First Supper Last”. It was originally slated to be titled "Rock Your Arse Off!". EMI declined, saying the recordings were too raw and that there were too many different musical styles to market - which is, of course, two of COLOURED BALLS’ greatest strengths. The album was finally released in ‘76 when Lobby signed a new solo record deal with Rainbird Records to issue his "Obsecration" album, the tapes for "First Supper Last" were also dusted off for release. Sadly, Rainbird Records folded soon after it was issued, which is why original copies can fetch $400+. It’s been out of print ever since, until now. Includes detailed liners by Ian McFarlane with rare photos and flyers.

COLOURED BALLS' legendary and nearly impossible to find "Flash" single from November '73 is finally back in print for the first time ever. It was originally issued a month before their masterpiece, "Ball Power". "Flash" is the lead track off said masterpiece. "Ball Power" is up there with the finest albums ever come out of Australia. "Flash" features a rare lead vocal from bassist Janis "John" Miglans. Exclusive b-side "Dave The Rave" has never been reissued on vinyl ever.

First-time-ever unique pairing of two of COLOURED BALLS' most savage bangers, "Won't You Make Up Your Mind" b/w "Devil's Disciple". Talk about being ahead of your time. This would have been right at home on Chiswick Records circa '76. If only EMI Australia would have had the *balls* to release "Won't You Make Up Your Mind" as a single back in ‘73. Punk would have started three years earlier in Australia if that had been the case. It ended up as an album track on their godhead “Ball Power” long player. “Devil’s Disciple”, one of their greatest tunes, was originally relegated to the b-side of their September ‘73 single “Mess Of The Blues”. "Won't You Make Up Your Mind" has never appeared on a 7" before and this the first time "Devil's Disciple" has been available on vinyl since it was originally released.
