JIMMY CAMPBELL “Lonely Norman” 7” single JAW063
For all intents and purposes this is simply ROCKIN’ HORSE backing their co-lead singer Jimmy Campbell. “Lonely Norman” was originally only issued on a rare sampler LP in 1971 and has never been released on a single before. This track also features EDDY GRANT of our all-time favorites THE EQUALS on lead guitar. Eddy just happened to be the landlord of Rockin’ Horse producer Hal Carter and agreed to sit in on the session. B-side “Frankie Joe” has only ever appeared as the b-side on an obscure 1970 single. This is original recipe power pop by one of the biggest “should have beens” ever. Seek out every release you can find by Rockin’ Horse, Jimmy Campbell, and co-lead singer/bassist Billy Kinsley.
